The Black Watch 28 was released
in the first quarter of 2004 and is a natural progression
from its popular predecessor the Black Watch 26 Express.
Boasting a flush cockpit sole and a roomier cabin, the Black
Watch 28 is the perfect compromise for the entertainer who
wants to fish or the fisherman who wants to cruise the waterways
with family and friends.
The Black Watch 28 is, due
to its family linage, a superb sea handling boat, which
will bring a smile to those seeking a fun day out no matter
what the conditions! Powering options consist of either
petrol or diesel sterndrive, diesel v-drive or a twin shaft
drive diesel installation. The possibilities are endless.
In all configurations the Black Watch 28 outperforms all
in her class with lively throttle response and excellent
maneuverability. The now legendary Black Watch hull design
results in a dry, soft riding and stable experience each
and every time you set out on an adventure.
The cockpit layout of the BW28
is large with great room for either the optional rear lounge
and table or a medium tackle game chair! Port and Starboard
of the engine space is large removable under floor lockers
which enable complete access to all sides of the engine.
The transom above sole livewell is a great option which
can make for an icebox on those days when the fish are not
biting and the beer needs to be icy-cold! The helm position
features port and starboard helm seats incorporating aft
facing lounges with storage below. You will be amazed at
the storage offered in this 28’ vessel. When seated
at the helm you will notice the excellent visibility and
ergonomic layout giving ample space to mount the various
electronics today’s skipper demands.
Protect ion from the weather
is available in either the standard bimini top or by the
upgraded stainless steel targa arch (which incorporates
a bimini top). Later in 2004 we will be offering an optional
hardtop design.
The Black Watch 28 interior
layout flows smoothly from the galley to the dinette, which
when needed coverts into a double berth. The galley features
an elegant granicote finish, single burner cook top and
has provision for the optional 12V refrigerator below. To
the starboard side is the bathroom featuring the large sized
toilet and shower facility with a classy hand basin and
cupboard space. Ventilation to both the galley and bathroom
is provided via the stainless steel opening Portlights.
