Black Watch Boats Australia proudly build
its vessels from this fantastic waterfront location on the
Tweed River, Northern New South Wales. Whether travelling
by road or aircraft, the Black Watch factory can be easily
be located within 15 minutes of the Gold Coast International
Airport heading southbound on the Pacific Highway.
In March 2000 Black Watch Boats moved its
operations to its current purpose built plant on the Tweed
River. The site was prepared to meet the expanding demands
of a growing export market. Blessed with highway and river
frontage, the facility was prepared to service all the needs
and demands of a manufacturing boat-building facility with
an easy to access waterfront launch point.

The Legacy began with the Black Watch
26 and Black Watch 30 models being developed from moulds
initially imported from the USA. These hull shapes were
created from the drawing board of Raymond C. Hunt, the grandfather
of the deep vee hull design. The Black Watch brand has developed
an excellent reputation and quickly gained a strong following
in the game and sportsfishing fraternity.
During mid 1990 the popular Black Watch 34 was released
and became Australia's premier game boat, the ideal choice
for the professional and recreational skipper. Black Watch
Boats quickly became synonymous for quality, performance
and superb handling of their range of brand.
Shortly after 1997 the first of the then
new Black Watch 40 models were produced. Sharing a similar
hull shape then that of its predecessor, the BW26 and BW30;
the Black Watch 40 out performed and out classed its major
competitors. 1999 saw the release of the brand new Black
Watch 36. This vessel redefined the standard for its class
and size of vessel.
The Black Watch brand is now exported to
major locations in the USA, Japan, Pacific Islands, Indonesia,
Thailand, South Africa, New Zealand and Europe.
